The long leather fringe has so much movement and swing, the 10” of supple leather swings front and back. The wide huipil gusset allows the bag to be light, floppy and gives you a lot of space. This light weight beauty is the must have bag for every day. The floppy unstructured design lays next to your body when carried, like the best cuddle. The interior has a zippered pocket and a double leather trimmed slit pocket to keep your essentials within easy reach.

The bag is entirely handcrafted. The only machinery used in its creation was a sewing machine to stitch it together.

These bags are fair trade, sustainable fashion and unique. They are made from custom woven Huipils, or shirts, woven on backstrap looms by Mayan women in Guatemala. Each huipil tells the story of the woman who created it. The history, skill and meaning behind each huipil has been handed down for generations.

The bag is made with full grain leather. There are marks and lines in the leather that are natural to the hide. This bag will keep getting better with time! A long extra plush leather fringe tassel adorns the zipper pull.

The interior has a leather trimmed zippered compartment and two pockets for a cell phone and your miscellaneous goodies.
