The fair trade materials and work were all made in Guatemala in the Chichicastenago region. The vintage textiles are sold in a fair trade market and upcycled into this bag. The bags
are entirely handcrafted. The only machinery used in its creation was a sewing machine to stitch it together.
The vintage Huipils, or shirts are woven on backstrap looms by Mayan women in Guatemala. Each huipil tells the story of the woman who created it. The history, skill and meaning behind each huipil has been handed down for generations.

These handcrafted pieces are made with rich black, super soft, full grain leather handles and a matching leather shoulder strap and trim. There are natural marks and lines in the leather that are natural to the leather. This bag will keep getting better with time!
