The Mermaid's Pearl and Pirate's Treasure Collection is a unique one of a kind collection, created by Sirens & Starlight. Inspired by the luster of luxury pearls and the shimmer of a mermaids tails, the Mermaid's Pearl leathers are very soft, supply floppy full grain leather with a stunning soft pearlescent sheen. Pirate's Treasure is bright, shiny and opulent; inspired by treasure chests filled with shining jewels, gold and silver doubloon coins. The treasure leather is thick, shiny and has more structure. Each item in the collection is made lovingly by hand and unique, just as every pearl, hand struck coin and gem is one of a kind. The stunning color and tapestry of the huipils chosen for the collection are representative of the colorful world around us. Each is unique, handmade and picked for it opulence. This is a luxury limited edition collection.

This one of a kind metallic leather bag is absolutely amazing! The glowing color of the huipil is one of a kind! The fair trade materials and work were all made in Guatemala in the Chichicastenango region from a handwoven huipil. The bag is entirely handcrafted. The only machinery used in its creation was a sewing machine to stitch it together.

This CDB, or convertible day bag can be worn many ways. It comes with a matching leather shoulder strap, leather backpack straps and leather handles so it can be carried in many ways. The gorgeous huipil is a weaving of bright, electric, happy colors. This bag is one of a kind. You won’t find its duplicate anywhere. There are natural marks and lines in the leather that are natural to the leather. This bag will keep getting better with time! A leather ribbon adorns the zipper pull.

These bags are fair trade, sustainable fashion and unique. They are made from vintage huipil or new artisan custom woven huipils. Huipils are shirts, woven on backstrap looms by Mayan women in Guatemala. Each huipil tells the story of the woman who created it. The history, skill and meaning behind each huipil has been handed down for generations.

The interior has a leather trimmed zippered compartment and two pockets for a cell phone and your miscellaneous goodies. It has a plastic zipper and high quality silver tone hardware. The interior is lined with beautiful handmade plaid Corte fabric.
