This unique full grain leather bag is absolutely amazing! The glowing color of the huipil is one of a kind! The fair trade materials and work were all made in Guatemala from a handwoven huipil. This newly custom woven huipil is from the Chichicastenango region of Guatemala and created by very talented female master weavers. These women continue to use and master the Mayan traditional back-strap loom weaving. The bag is entirely handcrafted. The only machinery used in its creation was a sewing machine to stitch it together.

This crossbody is great for a date night or festival bag or to keep inside your larger bag for organization and just when you need a few things and need to grab and go. Fits a cell phone, wallet, coin purse, full size makeup bag and your keys easily with room to spare. This bag is so unique! There are natural marks and lines that are natural to the leather.

These bags are fair trade, sustainable fashion and unique. They are made from vintage huipil or new artisan custom woven huipils. Huipils are shirts, woven on backstrap looms by Mayan women in Guatemala. Each huipil tells the story of the woman who created it. The history, skill and meaning behind each huipil has been handed down for generations.

The interior has a leather edged zippered pocket and is lined with beautiful handmade plaid Corte fabric.
