This one of a kind marbled grey leather bag is absolutely amazing! The glowing color of the bird huipil is one of a kind! The floral Xela huipil pockets tie in and compliment the color of the birds. It’s the perfect vibrant color combination.

The fair trade materials and work were all made in Guatemala in the Chichicastenango region from a vintage handwoven and embroidered huipil. The vintage huipil is then sold in a fair trade market and upcycled into this bag. The bag is entirely handcrafted. The only machinery used in its creation was a sewing machine to stitch it together.

This small CDB, or convertible day bag can be worn many ways. It comes with a matching leather shoulder strap, leather backpack straps and leather handles so it can be carried in many ways. The gorgeous huipil is a weaving of bright, electric, happy colors. This bag is one of a kind. You won’t find its duplicate anywhere.

These bags are fair trade, sustainable fashion and unique. They are made from vintage Huipils, or shirts, woven on backstrap looms by Mayan women in Guatemala. Each huipil tells the story of the woman who created it. The history, skill and meaning behind each huipil has been handed down for generations.

The bag is entirely handcrafted with full grain marbled grey leather handles and a matching leather shoulder strap. There are natural marks and lines in the leather that are natural to the leather. This bag will keep getting better with time! A leather ribbon adorns the zipper pull.

The interior has a leather trimmed zippered compartment and two pockets for a cell phone and your miscellaneous goodies. It has a plastic zipper and high quality silver tone hardware. The interior is lined with beautiful handmade plaid Corte fabric.
